A Special Event at the University ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥â€™s Career and Student Services Center

The University ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥â€™s Career and Student Services Center recently hosted a special event: our very first Alumni Co-Creation Workshop, attended by eleven alumni from various faculties and academic programs. Most participants brought with them 15 to 20 years of professional experience.

Representing the University ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ as a "Service-Oriented University", the focus of the event was placed squarely on its "clients" – in this case, the alumni – and their interests and opinions. The aim of the meeting was twofold: firstly, to better understand their needs, and secondly, to engage this experienced community from various professional fields in a collaborative discussion about the future of university services, career development opportunities, potential forms of professional cooperation, and – not least – how the University could offer even more meaningful and enjoyable experiences for both current and former students. This was highlighted on the Career and Student Services Center's website.

During the workshop, we used the creative toolkit of "design thinking" to create a space where participants could freely develop ideas and contribute to the conscious planning of future services.

In the group work session, the task was to design a specific service process. To support this, we provided professional guidelines and creative tools. Although the goal wasn’t to fully develop the projects, the enthusiastic approach of the teams was so strong that several ideas clearly have the potential to serve as a foundation for future developments within the alumni community.

At the end of the workshop, we evaluated the ideas together and raised additional questions. The positive atmosphere lasted throughout the event, with participants contributing not just creative solutions, but their full hearts and dedication to the collaborative work.

This occasion clearly demonstrated the value embedded in our alumni community – in terms of knowledge, experience, and commitment. We received especially valuable feedback on how our former students perceive the institution and which directions we should explore further in our service development efforts.

We would like to thank all participants for their active involvement, openness, and collaborative spirit.

We hope to have the opportunity to organize a similar event again soon – because such meetings are not only inspiring, but can also deliver tangible results for every member of the university community.
